Carolina Thread Trail

NC SC Cross State Connection Bridge

Cross-State Suspension Bridge

Waxhaw is home to the Carolina Thread Trail's signature Cross-State Suspension Bridge!  To access a natural surface trail leading to the bridge, travel to the back of H.C. Nesbit Park and park at the kiosk.  From there, you will enjoy a 1/4 mile hike to a breathtaking 170 foot long suspension bridge.  Not only will you cross the state line into South Carolina, but you will have the ability to continue on for 3 1/2 miles of additional natural surface trail fun.  The trail can be hiked and acts as an advanced mountain biking venue.  Leashed pets are permitted.
