As the spread of coronavirus, officially named COVID-19, has evolved in recent weeks, Union County’s Division of Public Health has monitored developments. As you may have heard, the first case in North Carolina was confirmed in early March in Wake County. Our team has been preparing for the possibility of confirmed cases in Union County, in partnership with the North Carolina Division of Public Health (NC DPH) and the Centers for Disease Control (CDC). At this point, there are no changes to Union County operations due to coronavirus. We will update our residents if that changes.
The health and well-being of our residents and workforce in Union County is our top priority. We want to ensure accurate and appropriate information is shared to all Union County residents.
