Memorial Day Remembrance Ceremony

Honor American Heroes in Waxhaw this Memorial Day! At 12:00pm on May 27th, experience an educational ceremony at the Military Wall of Honor on Main Street, downtown Waxhaw. Learn about and watch military tradition unfold. Listen to personal stories about local veterans and take time to honor those who have sacrificed for the freedom of all. The guest speaker for the event will be U.S. Navy Veteran and host of Freedom’s Voices Internet show, Loyd Pennington. Special guest, Private Stephen Sutton will be in attendance after just having returned from duty in Afghanistan. Light refreshments will be served following the ceremony. Memorial Day honors are sponsored by the Town of Waxhaw, American Legion Post 208 and the Cuthbertson High School Civil Air Patrol. Contact Natalie Jackson at 704-843-2195 for any questions.
