Liquid Road Seal Operations Begin July 20th

The paving of Waxhaw streets, listed below, is tentatively scheduled to begin Monday, July 20th through Friday, July 24th. During this time please refrain from parking on the street. A process called Liquid Road Seal will be completed to simultaneously remove cracks and rejuvenate the surface of the old road, to create a smooth road. After the liquid road is placed, there is a required two-hour dry time to allow the road to cure. Please pardon our mess as we complete this work on your behalf.

Operations typically will not be disruptive during early morning and early evening “rush hours”, but access to driveways during the interim hours will be disrupted during the extended cure time. Town personnel will be on-site to coordinate as operations in your area commence to ensure arrangements are made for ingress and egress. The road maintenance schedule will be as follows:

  • Monday, July 20th: Arbor Drive (From McCain Street to Sharon Drive) and Sharon Drive (From Anne St. to 1100 Sharon Drive).
  • Tuesday, July 21st: Popular Grove Circle 1 (unrepaired sections)
  • Wednesday, July 22nd: Popular Grove Circle 2 and Harrison Park Drive 1
  • Thursday, July 23rd: Harrison Park Drive 2 (unrepaired sections)
  • Friday, July 24th: Ashton Manor Way and Bancroft Place

If there is any remaining liquid seal, there is the potential to also do Citation Oaks Court on Friday, July 24th. Due to any inclement weather, the days could be pushed back into next week, July 27th to July 31st. Please see the map below for additional details.

We appreciate your patience and understanding in the matter.

Thank you for your consideration, please contact Todd Matthews, Public Services Director, at 704-622-7055 if there are special considerations needed at your residence.
