Post Date:10/14/2025 7:01 p.m.

The Town of Waxhaw Board of Commissioners issued a proclamation in support of October as National Breast Cancer Awareness Month at its Regular Meeting on October 14.

Though great strides have been made in combatting this devastating illness, thousands of women and men will be diagnosed with breast cancer this year. The exact causes of breast cancer are unknown. Understanding its risk factors and getting recommended screening mammograms are essential to early detection and prevention of breast cancer.
