The Town of Waxhaw’s Parks and Recreation Department is launching a new registration system that will improve the resident experience when registering for programs, renting facilities, and managing accounts.
The new SmartRec system will launch on the Town of Waxhaw’s website on December 17 and replace the current RecDesk system.
SmartRec is a cost-effective solution that provides enhanced features and tools for managing programs, memberships, and rentals. The system provides a more intuitive, streamlined experience for residents.
Impact on Upcoming Registrations & Reservations
Most programs for 2025 have wrapped up. However, for programs taking place December 19 through 31, please email the programs team or call 704-843-2195 ext. 235 to ensure your registration is processed.
Registration for all programs starting in January 2026 will take place in the SmartRec system.
Please remember that pre-registration is required for all programs.
Any facility rentals that were booked in the old RecDesk system remain valid. All future facility rentals must be submitted through SmartRec.
How To Register for a SmartRec Account
Users will be able to access SmartRec directly on the Town of Waxhaw’s website on the “Rentals and Registrations” page.
All users will be required to create a new SmartRec (Amilia) account, regardless of whether they had a RecDesk account.
Users will be prompted to create their account when they go to register for a program or make a purchase.
- Click “Sign Up” on the login page after adding an item to your cart.
- Enter your account information.
- Verify your account via email code.
- Once verified, users will be ready to browse, register, and manage their accounts.
