The Town of Waxhaw's administrative offices will be closed December 24, 25, and 26 in observance of Christmas. Town offices will be closed Thursday, Jan. 1, 2026, in observance of New Year's Day.   

Holiday Trash & Recycling

• Trash and Recycling service will not run on Christmas Day, Dec. 25, or New Year's Day, Jan. 1.
• Thursday customers will be serviced on Friday. Friday customers will be serviced on Saturday.
• Please place your carts at the curb before 7 a.m. Thank you for your cooperation. 

Parks and Facilities Closures 

Recreation Barn: 

• Closed Dec. 24 - 27, and Jan. 1
• The Rec Barn is operating on holiday hours of 12 p.m. to 4 p.m. on open days from Dec. 22 to Jan 2.

Downtown Park: 

• Closes at 12 p.m. on Christmas Eve (Dec. 24)
• Closed Christmas Day (Dec. 25)
• Closes at 4 p.m. on New Year's Eve (Dec. 31)
• Closed New Year's Day (Jan. 1)

• Emergency services are always available by calling 911.
