The Waxhaw Board of Commissioners took the following actions during its regular meeting on March 10, 2026:
Agenda Adoption
- Amended the agenda to remove Item F.6 – Street Dedication in the Preserve at Forest Creek – Phase 2 Maps 1 and 2. They added under New Business K.1 Safety of Waxhaw Water Supply.
- Adopted the Consent Agenda as presented.
Recognitions
- Adopted Proclamation (PRO2026005) recognizing Sergeant Detective Ronnie Horne and awarding him his badge and service weapon upon retirement.
- Adopted Proclamation (PRO2026006) recognizing the Cuthbertson High School Boys and Girls Track & Field Teams as the 2025 NCHSAA 7A Indoor Track & Field State Champions.

- Adopted Resolution (RES2026004) approving a Municipal Accounting Services, Cybersecurity, and Technical Assistance Memorandum of Agreement with the North Carolina League of Municipalities.
- Approved the contract with the NC Department of Transportation for the Helms Road Extension Project (HL-0158) in the amount of $4,923,274.
- Awarded a contract to Kimley-Horn for Professional Engineering Services for the Helms Road Extension (HL-0158) Locally Administered Project in the amount of $742,000.
New Business
- Safety of Waxhaw Water Supply Discussion - The Board agreed by consensus to discuss further at their work session meeting on March 24, 2026.
