Waxhaw Launches America 250 Historic Scavenger Hunt

Post Date:06/03/2026 11:28 a.m.

The Town of Waxhaw’s Parks and Recreation Department, in partnership with the Waxhaw Historic Preservation Commission and the Waxhaw America 250 Committee, is launching a historic scavenger hunt to celebrate 250 years of American history throughout the month of June.

Three lucky winners will each receive a one-of-a-kind handcrafted patriotic stained-glass feather in red, white, and blue, created by talented local artists at Cane Creek Studios. These beautiful pieces are a celebration of American artistry and Waxhaw community pride, making them a fitting tribute to this historic milestone.

Participants must visit at least 10 of the 13 designated historic locations, take a photo at each one, and submit their entries by June 30, 2026.
