The Town of Waxhaw is seeking redevelopment proposals for the Town-owned properties identified in this Request for Proposals (RFP). Through this process, the Town seeks to identify a qualified developer capable of delivering a high-quality, context-sensitive redevelopment project that supports the Town's economic development goals, Downtown Master Plan, and long-term community vision.
The Town intends for this process to be transparent, collaborative, and competitive while encouraging creative redevelopment concepts and thoughtful development approaches.

The following schedule represents the Town's anticipated timeline. The Town reserves the right to modify dates, deadlines, or other elements of the solicitation process as necessary.

- Sept. 25 - Responses to questions posted publicly on Town website
- Oct. 5 - Proposal Deadline
Proposals shall be submitted electronically in PDF format. Electronic submission supports efficient distribution and review by Town staff and the Board of Commissioners. Proposals must be received no later than October 5, 2026 at 5:00 p.m. ET. Late submissions will not be considered. The Town reserves the right to request additional information, supporting documentation, interviews, presentations, or printed copies from one or more respondents during the evaluation process.
All questions regarding this RFP must be submitted in writing to: Alara Baltmiskis, Business Development Director. Questions must be received no later than September 23, 2026 at 5:00 p.m. ET. Responses and any addenda will be posted on the Town's website to ensure all respondents have access to the same information.
