Building Inspections, a division of the Planning & Inspections Department for the Town of Waxhaw, is responsible for administering all applicable North Carolina building codes via building permit issuance and building construction inspections. Our Inspections Team ensures that construction work is built according to approved plans under local, state and national building codes.

Schedule An Inspection

All inspection requests and permit submissions should be submitted to the Permit Portal and questions should be emailed directly to the Inspections Division.

Inspection requests received before 4 p.m. will be scheduled the next business day. Any requests submitted after 4 p.m. will be scheduled for the second business day. You may also request an inspection for a specific date. 

Scheduling is not a guarantee of inspection, but every effort is made to respect the scheduled inspection date. All cancellations must be made in a timely manner or there is a risk of a re-inspection fee.
