Cash, checks and credit card payments can also be made in person at the Town Hall customer service window.

Upon payment of outstanding fees and permit issuance, the Waxhaw Permit Portal will allow for scheduling inspections depending on the permit application submitted. This guide shows different places where inspections can be scheduled.

The Mapping Feature in the portal can be used to create records or perform public records searches.

For Commercial/Major Subdivision and Residential Retaining Walls, please review the Retaining Wall Policy (PDF). 

All Retaining Walls are considered an accessory structure and a permit shall be submitted via email to our Inspections Division.

Note:  Walls built without proper permitting approvals are subject to work stoppage, fines, or potential civil action for removal.
