Project Timelines
The Traffic Projects Gantt Chart 3.25.2026 (PDF) provides a snapshot of transportation projects identified in the Waxhaw Master Transportation Plan, combining a timeline (Gantt chart) with a corresponding map to show where projects are located and when they are expected to occur.
The Gantt chart (top portion) shows each project along a timeline, helping you see when work is anticipated to begin and end. Projects are grouped by who is leading them, such as NCDOT, the Town of Waxhaw, or other agencies. Each project is broken into phases, typically including planning, right-of-way and utility coordination, and construction. The length of each bar represents the estimated duration of that phase. All schedules are subject to change.
The map (bottom portion) shows the geographic location of these projects throughout Waxhaw and surrounding areas. Each numbered label on the map corresponds to a project listed in the chart, allowing you to connect a project’s location with its timeline.
Projects are also categorized as funded or unfunded. Funded projects have identified financial support and are moving forward on a projected schedule. Unfunded projects are planned improvements that may advance as funding becomes available.
Together, this document is intended to give a high-level overview of what transportation projects are currently underway, what is coming next, and where these improvements will take place across the community. This chart will be updated periodically when timelines experience significant shifts.
